What to bring to classes - All classes include a manual and the Fusion class also includes a set of stones. Please bring:
- lunches,water snacks
- yoga mat
- wear comfortable, loose clothing
- to the Fusion class please bring massage table and linens if convenient as some will be supplied.
Kristie Straarup's experience with her own massage practice and many years of teaching creates a unique opportunity for students to learn and share in her classes. Whether you are just learning about massage or are a seasoned practitioner, Kristie will offer you instruction that will help you incorporate new methods and techniques into your practice.
The classes offer Continuing Education Units (CEU's) for Registered Massage Therapists. There are no prerequisites for any of the classes offered.

Thai Massage
Whether you are new to
the field of massage or a seasoned practitioner, the Thai Massage class offers a
foundation for the practice of Thai massage.
Students learn
techniques in the supine, side-lying and sitting positions as well as more
in-depth study of the energy lines. Emphasis
is on proper body mechanics with demonstrations and practice time. The
fingers, thumbs, palms, elbows and feet are all used to give treatments.
We begin by learning
techniques for the feet and legs and then continue throughout the whole
body. The information taught will equip the student with
the ability to give a full body treatment as well as options for treating specific areas.

Thai Massage on the Table
Learn a full-body Thai
massage using a massage table. This course covers techniques in the
supine, prone, and side-lying positions. Designed for novices and
professionals alike,this course enables the practicioner to blend this
modality with other massage practices. A fantastic asset for any
therapist to add to their present routine.

About Thai Massage
This method is a unique blend of
pressure point work and manipulations or stretches to the body.
It is based on the energy system within the body and yoga like
stretches. This style can be used to enhance relaxation and wellness or
for therapeutic purposes.
